SAGIRO Terms of Service

1. Nature of the Service

SAGIRO is an on-device personal finance tracking and budgeting productivity tool. SAGIRO assists users in categorizing expenses, planning budgets, and understanding spending habits based on information available on the user's mobile device.

SAGIRO IS NOT A BANK, NON-BANKING FINANCIAL COMPANY (NBFC), LENDER, PAYMENT AGGREGATOR, OR REGISTERED INVESTMENT ADVISOR. SAGIRO does not offer loans, solicit deposits, execute payment transactions, or manage user funds.

2. Non-Advisory & Informational Use Only

All calculations, insights, budget limits (including Safe Today™), summaries, and Money Brain responses provided by SAGIRO are for informational and personal planning purposes only.

SAGIRO does not provide financial, investment, tax, legal, banking, or professional advice. You must not rely on SAGIRO as a substitute for professional financial planning or official banking statements.

3. User Responsibility & Data Verification

Transaction records, merchant identifications, amounts, and account links generated via automated bank SMS parsing, voice input, or CSV imports are derived heuristically and may contain omissions or parsing inaccuracies.

You are solely responsible for reviewing your transactions, validating figures against official bank or credit card statements, and making financial decisions.

4. SMS & Device Permissions

SAGIRO requests SMS permissions (READ_SMS, RECEIVE_SMS) strictly to auto-detect incoming bank transactional debits and credits on your device. All SMS parsing is performed 100% locally on your device.

Granting SMS permission is entirely optional. If you choose not to grant SMS access, you can use all other features of SAGIRO via Manual Entry and CSV Import.

5. Local Storage, Encryption & Backup Responsibility

Your financial data is stored locally in an encrypted SQLite database (SQLCipher AES-256) on your device.

If you create an encrypted backup file, you are responsible for maintaining the security of your backup password. SAGIRO does not store your backup passwords on remote servers and cannot recover backups if you lose your encryption key.

6. Pro Subscriptions & Google Play Billing

Optional premium features (such as SAGIRO Pro) are billed through the Google Play In-App Billing system. Subscriptions, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are governed directly by Google Play's standard billing policies and terms of service.

7. Data Deletion & Termination

You retain full control over your data. You may permanently delete all stored transactions, categories, budgets, and settings at any time by selecting "Clear All Data" in Settings or uninstalling the app. Because SAGIRO stores your financial ledger locally, deletion on your device immediately and irreversibly destroys all local financial records.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

SAGIRO is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian laws, SAGIRO and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the application or any financial decisions made.
